SC – Handguns, Rifles and Shotguns, Oh My!

UPDATE:
See my new post here. Because of so-called “log rolling” the sales tax holiday in memorium of the first amendment has been stricken. Perhaps the legislature will do it again, and do it right this time, but as of now (5/4/09), no firearms holiday this year.

First time I’ve seen this… a sales tax holiday on handguns, rifles and shotguns starting after Thanksgiving this year for two days in South Carolina – Friday & Saturday. It’s called the “Second Amendment Recognition Act” sales tax holiday. The governor Vetoed it, but the Senate and House overrode the veto, so it stands.
