It is for the children. 2. It is for the environment. 3. It for the prevention of job losses. When the money does not go to the prior pledge area, the politicians are quick to take the approach "I only solicited the money, I did not manage its use." Someone should compose a listing of genertally used reasons why politicians increase taxes:
