The company I work for which is based in Florida is going to start selling products (retail beauty products) in the states of Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Should I charge in the invoice to our customer just the flat rate 5% 6.25% and 7 for those states?
do I need to fill out any form as permission with the state before start selling?

Thanks

California's state wide tax rate increased 1% to 8.25% as of April 1, 2009. The 1% increase is set to expire July 1, 2011 and the state wide rate will decrease to 7.25% at that time.

After seeing several postings about needing a inexpensive listing of sales tax rates, I created a listing which I sell at SalesTaxListing.com. Feel free to check it out and see if it meets your needs.

Oklahoma's sales tax ranges from nearly 4-5% in rural counties and areas to 9% or more in more populated areas. It is wrong to have different sales tax for different areas. All states should be the same in either having a federally set state sales tax, or no sales tax at all.

Texas --State Sales Tax Rate = 6.25%, the maximum rate is 8.25% which can be composed up of a combination of city, county, MTA and SPD taxes. for areas, the tax rate is 8.25% because many of the governmental entities have snatched that 2%. Many of the rural areas are still 6.25% however.
